The Principals
Becky Evenson, RN, BSN, MBA, CHRN
Becky Evenson began her career in Nursing, with a BSN from Vanderbilt University. Her clinical expertise included Medical and Cardiac Intensive Care. She worked at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans for over twelve years, as Charge Nurse and Preceptor. She was Certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and presented many clinical lectures for the education department.
Becky's Administrative career included the position of Director of Provider Relations for Select Specialty Hospital in New Orleans which was a senior management position responsible for all admitting, business development and contracting for the hospital. She also worked as CEO for a busy physicians practice, overseeing 6 different companies.
Business Development is an area of Becky's interest and she held various positions from educational liaison for a long-term acute care facility to local business development representative for a wound care and HBOT program. Becky enjoyed the wound care and HBOT industry and accepted the position of VP of Business Development for a large wound care and HBOT contracting service, TotalWound Treatment Center. Becky was responsible for physician relations, all marketing and promotional activities, and development of new growth opportunities.
In 2003, Becky joined forces with Mary Hirsch to develop MATRIX Health Services, LLC. MATRIX consults with acute care hospitals to provide assistance in developing, re-organizing, and/or consulting for outpatient wound care and HBOT programs.
Becky has a Master's degree in Business Administration and is an Advanced Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse. She is a member of, as well as an Accreditation Surveyor for, the UHMS. She is also a member of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, the Baromedical Nurses Association, serves on the advisory council and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is the Member at Large for the Greater New Orleans Women's Health Care Executive Network.
Mary LeMaire Hirsch, RN, MHA, ACHRN, CWS
Mary has been in the healthcare arena for more than 30 years as a registered nurse, the last 20 years in administrative positions. Her clinical background includes Medical Surgical, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Ambulatory Surgery, Wound Care and Hyperbaric nursing.
Prior to focusing on Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, Mary's administrative experience included positions as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Administrative Council, and Chief Nursing Officer. During that time she created a new product line for the treatment of patients with chronic wounds secondary to nutritional status depletion and multi-system organ failure.
Recognizing her passion for wound care she became a program director for a national wound care and hyperbaric company in 1998. She supervised the build out and ran the program for one year before moving to the corporate office as the Regional Operations Director, then Chief Clinical Officer, providing clinical, operational and financial oversight of wound centers throughout the country. In 2003, Mary partnered with Becky Toups to form MATRIX Health Services, a wound care and hyperbaric medicine consulting and management group.
In addition to nursing, Mary's education credentials include a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration and board certifications in wound care and hyperbarics as a Certified Wound Specialist and an Advanced Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse. She is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, serves as Program Chair for the Baromedical Nurse's Association, and Associate Member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). She also serves as a UHMS Accreditation Surveyor.
