Our Business Model
Our business model is based on over thirty years health care experience, including administration of programs, implementing clinical/technical wound care procedures, and dealing with financial/reimbursement issues. It is designed on the belief that a strong clinical base will serve as the foundation for your success. We add to this the clear understanding that appropriate pre-certification, documentation, coding and billing are essential for you to be properly reimbursed.
Our passion is to provide wound care programs that enhance the quality of life for your patients. The MATRIX staff is well versed in every aspect of wound care and hyperbaric medicine, having extensive experience in problem wound management. As a result, we are able to provide medically appropriate, evidence-based, state of the art programs that are clinically effective and financially responsive.
Our belief is that every patient regardless of economic status, physical status, race, ethnic origin, sex or religious affiliation is entitled to the best possible care in a customer friendly environment.
We believe that an effective wound care program requires solid clinical results, physician and public awareness, continuing dialog and education, and a firm grasp of reimbursement issues. We believe that referring physicians should be continuously informed of patient treatment plans, variances from those plans, and patient progress. We believe that a referring physician’s confidence in the integrity of the system is critical to the development and maintenance of future referrals.
MATRIX Health Services, LLC was established in 2004, by the current owners Becky Evenson and Mary Hirsch, who both previously worked for TotalWound Treatment Center, one of the most successful wound care programs in the industry. While working with TotalWound Treatment Center, Becky and Mary were instrumental in the establishment and operation of 20 comprehensive wound care programs, nationwide. After the sale of TotalWound, Mary and Becky were determined to take the best practices and principles from previous work experiences to form a health care company focused on delivering the highest clinical quality and customer service, in the most cost efficient and ethical manner.
Though our home base is in Louisiana, MATRIX is a national company and has provided wound care and hyperbaric consulting services in Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.
